St John Of God Carmona Services

Carmona Services has a mission to provide each person with opportunities to develop skills which will enable him or her to experience a quality of life as close as possible to that which is available in society at large and to ensure the level of support s necessary to meet their individual needs.
We aim to achieve this in partnership with individuals and their families.

Carmona Services is dedicated in honour of St John Grande from Carmona Spain, a Brother of the Order who died in 1660.

Carmona Service provides a range of day and residential services and supports for children and adults with an intellectual disability in South Dublin.

History

Carmona Services celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2004. Commencing in 1964 in one room, it has now expanded to support the needs of over 350 children and adults, with 120 of them being supported in our residential service. The success of Carmona Services over these 40 years has been the way it has changed in accordance with people’s needs and wishes – indeed the service profile on page eight, shows very clearly how the service expanded and changed according to the demands of service users and their families.
